Onboard an investor

Move a closed LP from a soft circle to an executed subscription, through the full review and e-signature chain.

Steps

  1. Open a subscription packet.Assign the LP’s signatory and your internal reviewers, and build the document checklist — subscription document, tax forms, KYC, source-of-funds.
  2. Route the approval chain. Legal review, then accounting or fund-admin review, then tax review, then compliance/KYC review, then GP approval. Any stage can deny or reopen the packet, and each stage records who approved it, when, and on what basis.
  3. Collect the signature. E-signature capture records IP address, timestamp, device, and authentication method as evidence alongside the executed document.
  4. Track filings. Form D status and blue-sky notice filings by LP domicile are tracked as their own checklist against the raise.

Why signatory status matters

Only a contact designated as an authorized signatory can execute the subscription. This is enforced at the workflow gate, not left to whoever happens to have the link — a non-authorized contact’s attempt to execute is blocked and recorded in the audit trail. See Investors and commitments for how signatory roles are set up on the investor record in the first place.
